Congrats, Mitch! I got my 1996 reissue back in September and I'm now hooked on three pickup Ricks! When I play it with my band, I usually leave it in the middle position (all three pickups) and adjust lead and rhythm tone with either the fifth knob or the volume knobs. I do love the metallic tang of the treble pickup, and the warm articulation of the middle and neck wired together, but all three sound the best to my ears. I think a 350 is next on my list!

Mitch how does the 350V63 play. I bought mine
this past January and playing thru my AC-30TBX
is just a great sound. What Amp do you play thru?
Another happy 350V63 owner best of luck with your
new Rickenbacker.

No other guitar sound as good as a Rickenbacker thru a Vox AC-30TBX

Hi Lou,thanks for your post.To be honest,I'm not a good player, just a bedroom strummer but this guitar pretty much plays itself.Right now I have 3 amps, a Little Lanilei 3350LT with a Rotary Wave speaker cab,a Marshall G 15RCD(sounds really great when I add a Danelectro Tuna Melt trem pedal) and a Tweed Fender Bronco93.I'd love to have a Vox AC 30 TBX like you but that is too big for my apt so maybe I will get a small Vox like a Pathfinder 15 or a DA 5 because MF is sending me a $150.00 gift certificate for for buying the 350.

Try out a DA5 Mitch. It's like that Little Lanilei, only portable. I put a set of batteries in mine when I got it in July and have at least 18 hours on them, and they are still going strong. It's LOUD for a 5 watt and has pretty darn good tone for a 6" speaker.

Our band's other guitar player has the Lanilei. It's a fab amp, and he uses it to gig with (plugged in to a Peavey 2X12 bottom). But the DA5 is pure fun, and you can troubadour away down the street with it. Rics sound great through it.
