Replacement Speaker

Post by armyric »

Once I again I turn to the Forum for help..

I have been playing with my little M8-E amp and I don't like the sound that comes from it. It sounds really muddy to me.

The speaker isn't Orginal (it's old and does say M8 on it but it's not a Jensen)It's a Mustang M-8 by LTV University.
I'm have troubles finding a New Speaker for it. Does anyone know where I can find one

Thanks

Joseph, you might be able to have that speaker rebuilt at Orange County Speaker:

http://www.orangecountyspeaker.com/index.html

They do very good work and can repair most speakers.

They also sell the Jensen P8R 8" replacement speaker for $67.95 + shipping:

Orange Co has a very good reputation for recones. For a new speaker you might want to check out Weber.

You might want to play it through another (any) speaker first. The mud may be in the amp :-)
Show him the shirts, Adrian.

Thanks for your comments Tracy. It is nice to have you back again. If you have the time, perhaps you could address a number of questions that remain unanswered.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm
