James, let's see some pics of that 4004Cii. I'd like a trans blue Cii someday.

Congrats James! Image

It does take a while to find the sweet spot, but in my experience I increase the bass and treble and essentially scoop the amp EQ. I keep my volume and tone at about 50% so I have some flexibility from there, and then I can switch PU's to easily get some nice fat tonal variation.

If I even do that much. Often I just dial it in and play the night.

My Behringer rig has a 5 band EQ - I usually keep the low flat, cut a little of the low mids, keep the mids about flat, and up the high mids and highs somewhat.

Very nice James, congrats. I never cared for blue guitars until the first time I saw a 4004Cii in trans blue. The RIC trans blue is an exception to my not liking blue guitars.

mine almost looks solid blue unless under bright lights. I don't really have that "tiger stripe" look.

Jeff, I think that trans blue Cii is my favorite of all the Ricks you've 4-2-5ed. The Goth 4003 would be my second favorite.

That tranny blue 4-2-5 looks familiar. Is that one of my old basses that I sold to someone?
If you think all is going well, you've obviously overlooked something.

Do the NAMM guitars hit the streets or are they put up in an "archive" file somewhere? If they do get out, are there any markings to indicate they are NAMM? Just curious...
