I would think that $2200 was cheap personally. Mass produced 73's have been over that figure and sometimes over $3K this year. A set neck 80's "S" made $2K last week!

71's are pretty rare compared to most. You don't see many because there aren't many.

This bass has an original finish, (big plus) with very nice wood and some hardware. With a proper pickguard and replaced original hardware you have a true vintage walnut winged bass.

The only downside is selling to near to Christmas. It may sell relatively cheaply, but I would still think it's a minimum $3K bass.

Wints, $2200 is definitley low for this, but it is a rough time to buy/sell and I think Marc has scared off all of us! I just don't see it going very high.

It'd be nice to have this bass for the project I wanna do, but being a rare bird 71, someone will pay a figure none of us would estimate.

I'll find the right bass for what I need. Problem is I can't overspend because, some of the the other work I need done will be expensive.

Hey I tried to scare folks off.. thought not posting the link would help me...ha ha...but...alas I feel I will be outbid in the end...

It is pretty sweet however....

Sorry to hear that Dave.

You'll find the right one yet.
