According to an inflation data web site, $2600.00 from 1989 is now worth $4300.00 in today's money (66.39%).

$4300.00 has been the going rate for the 4080's lately.
So if you purchased a 4080 new in 1989, not that great of an investment I say.

I guess they are "list" prices?

Therefor they are 30%+- more than what you would of paid for them.

Dave, i'd guess that this is MSRP, the "street" prices would be less.
