Anyone need Rick factory installed bass strings?

Post by eddied »

If interested, I have (2) sets of brand new Factory installed strings form two of my brand new Rick basses. I always take them off and put on my own choice immediently, so if you want two brand new sets, $25 plus postage and they are yours! FYI, the sets come off a C64 and a 2003 Monty Brown. If you want them, first person gets them, Email me @ [email protected].

Ed, no offense, but Jim Rhoads sells them for $20 new in the package.

It's TWO sets and they are brand new. I just got the Monty on Tues., and the C64 is only 3 months old and the strings were NEVER played. $12.50 a set is too much?

My apologies, Ed, I misread, $25 for two is a fair price.

I didn't think $25 for (2) sets was unreasonable at all considering they are totaly unplayed and have 0 time on them. Is that too much?

Ed: Dave is just stringing you along. LOL If you have a digital camera would you mind sending in a close-up photo. I have never had a set of these strings and I am curious if they have the same compressed wound as the RIC guitar strings. Perhaps you could comment on this Ed.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

Peter: My digital camera is very basic and has no zoom. You wouldn't be able to see what you want to see. I will tell you this. I have discovered that the Rick factory installed strings seem to be exactly like the Danelectro strings that are available. They come in an orange box and the sound and feel exactly like Rick strings. They are advertized as being retro sounding and for the money they may be the exact same manufacturer. I have used these and can't tell the difference.
