Everything that happened with the 5-string version took place before I joined this forum, so although I know there was some discussion on the subject, I don't know how it was left. Does anyone know if the five string will definitely reappear?
I'm kind of holding off for a 5-string Ric, partly because I am finding that on the odd occasion that I'm asked to 'help out' on something (sometimes with the incentive of some income), a 5-string is often required and it means I can't do it. I'm not sure whether to hang on, or to look for something else...

I've yet to nail down all of the details but it will start out as a 4003 that will get the "S" treatment on its binding. It will also get a slightly longer headstock with vintage keys and, like the 4008CS,have jarra headstock wings. I want it to be finger friendly at both ends and have vintage features all around but still be all Rickenbacker. Think of it as a Model 4001S/6
