RIC Thoughts At Fender Forum
In light of a recent post over at another thread, this is not meant as a criticism of the Fender Forum. I visit there every so often and have gotten some good info from time to time.
But I thought some of the posts in this FDP thread were kind of funny:

The same people banned me for "spamming". The webmaster would not listen to my protests, nor would he tell me exactly when this problem occurred...I've tried to join again, because I love to contribute and really like the half-dozen Fenders that I own, not to mention my Fender amps and reverb...fingers crossed.

I would figure that anybody who doesn't want me there doesn't deserve my company. I still have a warm place in my heart for Fenders, but there are only so many forums (fora?) I can spend time on and this is one of the biggies. (No, I haven't been kicked off, or even applied there.)

Doesn't look like they're gonna let me back in...
The webmaster is one mini-fascist.

I belong to that site also. Never go there. Fenders are cool ( I own 3) but the site is butt ugly. Sorry, Paul that you got banned from there. That happened to me at the dudepit. Can't imagine what was said there that might be considered so bad. Seems very genial over there.
You can't really blame the guys over there. Every forum is backing the forums model type.

My first guitar was a Fender Tele only a few months younger than that one you posted a week or so ago, Mike. It's the only Tele I've ever owned. I then got into surf and bought a new '67 Oly White Mustang.
Now I've got a gaggle of Jags (jaggle?) and one Jazzmaster; three old Duo-Sonics, a Squier Vista Venus XII...nothing sounds like a Jag with hot vintage pickups for a certain clean surf, like Carl Wilson played early on in the Beach Boys' history. Plug it into a Fender reverb, then into a Bandmaster or Dual Showman...surf heaven.
