Congrats David, I hope my instructions helped you. It feels great. Welcome to the "shoeless" club. Leave them off and try a gig or two. Just don't sell them. Mine are wrapped and in the case. Don't feel pressured to put them back on. It's about feel and playability.

Always keep the shoes with the bass, even if they aren't installed.
