360/12 with f-hole cutout?

Post by dustymurphy »

A guy my aunt works with is selling his Rickenbacker. I haven't seen it in a few years, but when I did see it, it was a 360/12, old 330-ish body style, with the sharp points, and R Tailpiece, but it has an f-hole cutout instead of the slash/cats eye. Does anybody have any kind of idea what this is? I don't remember seeing the "Made In The USA" marking on the headstock plate, but it's been around 8 years since I've seen it, so anything would be a big help to me.

Thanks.
Thanks!

Probably a 1997 Rose Morris reissue? or original?

Check the serial number on the official Rickenbacker site and if you can post pictures here I'm sure you'll get a bunch of people offering additional info.

Cool. Could be either a real Rose Morris 1993 or a reissue.

Welcome, Dusty! Sounds like an interesting guitar, so pictures would be very helpful.

If the body is bound, it would be a 360/12v64 reissue with f-hole; RIC did make a few of those.

I can't remember if it's bound or not. I'm going to ask him for some photographs. Did they make a 12-string Rose Morris 1993/1996?
Thanks!

Yes. The last one to sell on eBay went for mucho dinero.

Do you remember what it sold for? He told me that it wasn't really a 360, it was something else. He'd had it a long time and couldn't remember. Unbound body. He said to make an offer, so what's a fair one to make him? Any guesses?
Thanks!
