I am sure most of you have seen this:

An easy way to put some vintage years on your new RIC. It just did not agree with me very well. I guess RIC should start thinking of putting their serial numbers somewhere else.
I am good with my fingers and I can do it all night !

Never dealt with him. What's the deal with him?

He was selling some prototype hardware that "left" the factory apparently without management approval. That is not to say that the seller had anything to do with that but the items were stolen goods nonetheless.

Didn't some forum members also have issues with buying from him and not getting their merchandise or something to that effect? I think Mark Walker may have been one such person. IIRC there was a thread about this that eventually got deleted.

None of my business really, but I recall another member having had difficulties with Doc, & JH's comments would tend to lead someone to shy away from dealings with the doc.
Not isolated incidents at all, you'd expect someone who has been in & around the biz for so long, as the doc is supposed to have been, to be more professional!
I think all of that was in the deleted thread.
And yes, there was some very nasty name-calling posted by doc directed at Mark W.
Plus five minus five!

He took forever to send me my small part, and gave me false info as to when it had been mailed out, in order to keep me from lodging a Paypal complaint against him.

He seems to be the kind of guy who thinks his business would be a breeze if it weren't for those da***d customers...

I bought an old Rickenbacker badge from him for about $23 identical to this one which he has a $99 BIN.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150045379211&ssPageName=MERC_VIC_RSCC_Pr4_PcY_BIN_Stores_IT&refitem=150076559418&itemcount=4&refwidgetloc=closed_view_item&usedrule1=StoreCatToStoreCat&refwidgettype=cross_promot_widget

When I called after I'd won the auction I got the distinct impression that they were not at all happy with the low price the item went for.

I was charged $5 shipping and another $3 for insurance, it was sent surface mail for $1.80 and no insurance. It took several calls and approximately three weeks before I saw the article.

Funny thing is I could kinda use that plate, as when I originally made my sea green project, I BT'd everything including the jack plate. Would love to have a chrome one...

not a major thing on my needs list however.
