2007 MID-ATLANTIC RICK-FEST INFO

Post by leftybass »

Okay everyone,

This thread will be the official thread for all OFFICIAL info for the Mid-Atlantic Rick-Fest for 2007, held on 21-22 April 2007.

The event will once again be free to all who attend, all you have to do is get there with your Ricks!

INFO ON HOTEL ACCOMODATIONS WILL BE MADE AVAILABLE(hopefully) BY 9-10 JAN. 2007. The hotels are approx. 3 miles from POTR....if all goes well we will have a block of rooms set aside for our event, and there are plenty of eating establishments (Olive Garden, Lone Star Steak House) adjacent to the primary hotel(Hampton Inn). Don't book your room UNTIL I post back here about it, we may get a better rate!!

We are requiring all attendees to pre-register as well as list what instruments you will be bringing, and you can do this via this link:

http://www.pickofthericks.com/ric_fest_2007.asp

This will give us a register of instruments and a head-count of attendees, thank you 'muchly' in advance.

As previously revealed the event will be held at:

Pick Of The Ricks
121 Holly St., Lindenwold, NJ 08021
856.782.7300
http://www.pickofthericks.com

In essence, Chris has graciously lent us his store for the weekend, and there will be plenty of room for Rickenbackers to hang on the wall, on stands, any old way, really. There is more room for us here than we had for the '05 Fest, and more room than the Doubletree in Santa Ana, to give you an idea.

At present, there are no plans to have a 'jam' session like we had in California ala Kenny Howes and RIC.

We'll have room for a small amount of amplifiers. Since the event will be held at a music store, there will also be plenty of amps on-hand to play through once you're there.

If you want to bring an amp (No Big Rigs please, like an SVT) let Chris, Don Cooksey or myself know ahead of time.

Questions?? Post them here, or e-mail POTR, Don Cooksey or myself privately.

Specifications subject to change without notice, but I'll try to notify you here if any occur, LOL...

Have fun (that's what it's all about), and see you there.

Okay, HOTEL INFO:

We have rooms blocked at:

Hampton Inn/Voorhees, NJ
121 Laurel Oak Road, Voorhees, New Jersey, United States 08043
Tel: 1-856-346-4500 Fax: 1-856-346-2402

http://www.hamptoninn.com/en/hp/hotels/index.jhtml?ctyhocn=VORNJHX

This is only 3 miles from POTR, and plenty of eats surround the hotel. The code for the special rate of $89.00/night is 'MAR'....

Now, the paperwork for all of this is enroute to me as I post this, so when you call they "should" have us in the computer....and we have approx. 15 rooms blocked. At 3 weeks PRIOR to the event, any remaining rooms will revert back into hotel inventory. Make your reservations accordingly, thanks for reading.

Yes, I'm thinking we should have it for at least Friday and Saturday, but for Sunday I am not sure. If you have problems, let me know via e-mail and I will call my contact at the hotel.

That's probably the first time I've seen the phrase "ala Kenny Howes" written anywhere...

John, I plan to come in on Friday and leave Monday morning, so having the group rate through the whole weekend would be nice, as I am sure others coming in a long distance may want the same.
