What month is your 68 Scott?

I remember seeing a Nov 68 4000 a while back that had a hi-gain.

I have just come across a Feb 69 4001 bass with an original horseshoe, which is the latest I have seen which is definitely original.

It's April. The pickup has the aluminum base.

I would thought it originally had a horseshoe then.

Does the base have four holes?
