I recently purchased an Ampeg BA115HP and couldn't be happier!

Greg,

Yes this is a programmable driver. I have different settings on paper and set the 3 footswitch with the ones I need to have on hand. It's very good as the ajustements are precise & gives you lots of versatility...You can also go directly in the PA with it...I have recently discovered that the 3 settings I use most often have the overall volume lower to what the bass would give me without the driver...

I'll be the voice of dissention.

I had one for a few years and it turned out to be mostly inadequate for live situations and long gigs. I eventually sold it and got a Yorkville combo and the Yorkie flat out outperforms it in terms of tone, clarity, punch, volume and reliability for those five hour gigs.

I too have had iffy experiences with the SansAmp.

I too love my Yorkville gear!

Only my opinion though....

Oh !! Perhaps I said it wrong....

The SansAmp is between the Ric and either: a Mesa Bass 400+ w/ 2 x 15in cabs or for smaller gigs an Ampeg B200R...The line to the PA is from the amp, not from the driver. I havent ( and probably never will ) used the SansAmp without an amp !! I guess the way I use it is more as a pre-amp...

Scott,

Did you use it without an amp & directly into the PA ?? Or before the amp like I do ??
