Exactly how cold was it? What was the temperature?

I thought I remember hearing low 40's with 10-15mph wind gusts...

Cold enough for the fab four to perform wearing winter coats.

When I watch the Beatles Anthology and hear them talk about initially wanting to play a full concert at the Hammersmith odeon or another big venue, I find it a little disappointing that they didn't do so.

Playing on the roof was a great publicity stunt but it doesn't do the Beatles Justice as a live band.

We're lucky that they did the rooftop gig. George reportedly was vehemently against doing any live performance.
