1999 4003S/8 in Ebay

Post by rictified »

is white/black pickguard and white (?) TRC. Would look nice with a white pickguard. Also has Bartolini pickups (¿why?), I e-mailed him to see if he still has the originals. Are they different than a 4003 with a toaster? Wider?
Starting bid is $900.00
Also another bass with no TRC. a 78 Azureglo I think, maybe midnight blue, but looks lighter than mine which is Midnight Blue and is the same year. What is there a TRC black market or something? How much could a 78 TRC be worth?

Bob,
I also noticed this, and I also believe there's a kind of TRC black market.
IMHO, the only way to stop that is not to buy any RIC that has not an original TRC.
All the best,

I've seen them sell for $140.

There is another post on a 4000 that just went up for auction. It sold for like $489.00. I had bid up to $450. It was a nice instrument overall with a lot of potential. Why did I not go higher? No TRC.

Interestingly enough, someone's selling an 8-string Rick here in Lisbon, Portugal.

Check it out:
www.miau.pt.

Click on 'Música', then on 'Guitarras & Violas', and finally on 'Baixo 8 Cordas Rickenbacker'. The asking price therefor is 1,250 EUR.
A Rickenbacker bass is much like the Jaguar E car - perennially ultra-fashionable.

I couldn't get it, I think it wanted me to log in or something.

I was able to see it. The pics aren't that great, but it looks pretty nice.
