Well, its easy to see why so many solo album projects were done by the Beatles individually in the wake of these sessions. Probably was Pauls' only stint as a member of the Plastic Ono Band.

Not Yoko's only stint as a member of Wings?

Thanks to that video, I just remembered why I don't like Yoko's singing (er screeching). She appears to believe that she is adding some badly needed entertainment factor to the obviously (in her mind anyway) lack lustre Beatle performance. Go Yoko! (far far away please).

I liked the part with Paul and his Hofner, but he rest was pure garbage. The only ones that could have been having any fun were John and Yoko.

I'm still amazed they got anything usable out of those sessions.

David,

My dog hanged himself!

Kevin,

Some would argue that they didn't get anything useful out of that project.

Okay Guilty Pleasures people: does anyone secretly enjoy some of Yoko's work?

I do. Walking on Thin Ice, for example, and the final performance of Lennon's '58 Ric.

Now accepting your hurled rotten fruit.

Very true, Brian! I liked a lot of it though.

I liked it too to tell you the truth. Some, however, felt it was not a very good effort. The Beatles included.

Just a few comments on Yoko's lack of talent.

She's made the quote something like this, "Paul's a songwriter and I'm a songwriter".

If we analyze the statement, it's something akin to a 3rd grader who's just written a poem that is appropriate for that grade and intellectual level comparing herself/himself to Rudyard Kipling.

I submit that Yoko Ono would never have attained any measure of fame or notoriety were she not the wife of John Lennon. No record company would EVER have allowed her into a recording studio were she not "Mrs. John Lennon". Without John, we'd be laughing at her as a reject in the beginning round of American Idol. Image

Even her art stinks for small to medium to large mass consumption, meaning that her avant garde garbage only appeals to a very tiny percentage of
the valid art world.

Aw shucks. I'm sorry, but honesty made me do it!! Image

Our John was delusional by this point, or I think Yoko always had a gun at his side, forcing him to say nice things about Yoko's ability.

I do remember the comments about the B52s, but those girls could shriek on key. I wonder if Yoko can even turn a key.

You are so right Alex. Yoko would be a no go with out her association with J.L.

I actually have most of Yoko's albums and there are a few cuts I enjoy off them. Approximate Infinite Universe is one that I can recall.
