Bob, please do!! If I cannot ever see my KC 012 again, at least your sharing of photos of your Jan 1971 4001 will be a joy. I am sorry that those know-nothings in the alt.rickenbacker forum led you so astray. Some folks care so little for the feelings of others. It is great to know that not everyone is like that, Bob and John and Ted! Thanks for your compassion :-)

Sergio,

I too am sorry you have to sell. I hope it works out for the best.

Thanks, Kevin. Well, the fact that I'll be able to see and play her whenever I feel like is no small consolation really. Besides, the prospective buyer IS one hell of a player. All is not lost haha.
Elys, e-mail sent.
Bob: yeah, I sure would like to see some pics of this '71 21 fretter.
Hmm... I see creating a new 21-fret 4001 thread is in order.
Hey Graham (Griffiths), are you listening in? I believe there are a number of prospective buyers for your '69 21 fretter in here. (Uh-oh... maybe I should have kept quiet...)
A Rickenbacker bass is much like the Jaguar E car - perennially ultra-fashionable.

That's sad news, Sergio, but at least you know it's going to a good home.
A very rare bass indeed.

Very interested in that little slip you had at the end of your last post Sergio!
