What Happened to the Beatles Vocal Track Link??

Post by alecstar »

I went to play the Beatles vocal track link for a friend, originally posted by Mike Gutierrez, and now it says "You are not authorized to view this page". (Bennet Studios) .... Does anybody know if those are available through another link and how are those were ever available at all?

They've locked everyone out. Probably saw the traffic to the link in the server logs and bagged it.
Listen to that sustain!

Mitch ---- I just came upon this thread from last month. I downloaded several snippets a short while ago, (can't remember from exactly where or exactly when), but I think it might be those tune segments you are referencing. I did not down-load them all, but a good many of them.

The ones I downloaded all had this notation as the file name - Album Title: Mystery Beatles CD and listed BBBEATLES as the artists. They are mp3 files.

The ones I downloaded are:
1. Penny Lane
2. Rain
3. Walrus
5. This Boy
6. Follow the Sun
7. If I Fell
8. Rock and Roll Music
9. And Your Bird Can Sing
13. Hide Your Love Away
14. You're Going to Lose That Girl
18. Mystery Tour Snippet
19. Ballad of John and Yoko
23. Strawberry Track
26. All You Need is Love
27. Abbey Road Excerpts

If you have not gotten these vocal tracks from some other Forumite yet, e-mail me back and I will transmit you the ones I downloaded.

Kris -- as you have the full set, are you going to e-mail them to Mitch (Alecstar) and Chris (Beatlefan) ??

If your using a PC, first you want to go to the page. Then, clear your Temporary Internet Files folder. Play one of the songs and wait for the striped indicator in the play bar to disappear (this means the song is now downloaded to your computer). Then open your Temporary Internet Files folder. The song will be listed there as a 128kbps .mp3 file. You can now copy that file wherever you want.

Make sure you don't close Internet Explorer before you go looking for the file. Your browser may be set to clear temporary internet files when you close. I'm running a PC with Windows XP and IE6. The files are downloaded to my C:\Documents and Settings\Kris\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files folder.

If you're using a different internet browser (like Firefox), then I don't know where they're put. The indicator bar is the one that has the song position indicator moving across it.

I just right clicked the link in Francesco's above post, clicked again on "copy" in the menu, then went to my aol mail account and emailed it to myself, and saved that.

Too convoluted?
