I figured I'd put this back in under another more non-controversal heading. I did this about 6 months ago in some dive in CT. I'm using my 79 mapleglo 4001, 3-4 year old GHS very light gauge bright flats and one of my 70's SVT set ups. It was recorded from about 30-40 ft away with a Nikon digital camera, there is no mic or direct box on the amp, you're hearing the amp from that distance, the solo is sloppy and chopped off near the end and not very original but shows what this combination can sound like, the bass has also had the cap bypassed and has a wooden nut and holes into the wood for the allen screws that hold the bridge up, otherwise it's stock.

Way cool! Youtube always runs slow and choppy for me, so I could not hear the whole thing Image

Would you be willing to email-attach a copy of the file to <[email protected]>, so that I could make it play at the correct speed uninterrupted on my PC?

Excellent taste in amps, BTW Image

Sure, I'll try, it's pretty heavy though, taking forever to attach right now, it's about 18-19 Mb. I thought you'd like the amp, haha!

youtube worked fine for me. Nice sound Bob. I wish that the volume on your amp was just a tad louder. Even so, your solo work was pretty darn good to my ears.

Sweet tone, Bob! Nice work.

And thanks for sharing!

Elys-sometimes if you start watching one of these before it has fully downloaded you run into problems as you can only watch what has downloaded thus far. Try letting it download fully while you hit the "pause" button on the player. Then once it is fully downloaded press "play."

I'm not a computer whiz, but doing that helps in my case.

Thanks a lot everyone, yeah I wished it had been a little louder also or mic'ed but it's loud on that stage and if I turn it up any more I can't hear everything else quite right. Gotta hear that drummer.

Well I have two other heads and cabs, no room on the stage for them, haha! Seriously though, two cabs and two heads sounds unbelievable, but I'll only do that outside or in a huge club.
