Is it real rick?

Looks pretty darn real, but will it ever need a refinish to fix the Issues!!!
The checkerboard binding and the plastic full-width (NOT MOP abalone-shell) fret markers put it at a serial number series of MCxxxx to MDxxxx corresponding to March-April 1973, bolstered by the wavy-Grover tuners. But the surround for the bridge pickup is wrong, it is the late-sixties shape. Pickguard and toggle is right, but the knobs are wrong for an early-1973. Look like modern reissue knobs from the Rick site for v63, etc, instead
Someone got a Really Great Deal at only $600, dadgummit. Wish I had seen it first
Be nice to have had it for the fun alone of doing some careful woodwork, at that price!!
