Great post from Mark Kaufman above, that's dead on the mark.

It's been wonderful for me only since 2006, but still even as a newbie I value highly the awesome body of wisdom compiled by the senior members here over the past seven years.

I learn humbly at the feet of the forum's Greats Image

Long may you wave, Peter MacCormack!! Huzzah, and jolly good fellow...

Peter, I've said it before and what's wrong with saying it again, anyway?

This is the best guitar/bass Forum on the web, and it's that way largely because of your low-key, gentle-hand-on-the-throttle approach, combined with intelligence and humor!

Here's to 70 more.
“I say in speeches that a plausible mission of artists is to make people appreciate being alive at least a little bit. I am then asked if I know of any artists who pulled that off. I reply, 'The Beatles did.”

It's a great vibe, and I've met some very cool and very interesting people here. And all thanks to you for that, Peter.

I'd raise my glass to you, but you'll have to settle for the coffee cup right now! Image

As one of the younger, metal playing members who is also a big fan of the noise of the Ric 12 string who owns one, this is one of the most informative and interesting forums on the net. There might not be much talk of the music I'm into, but I find it mostly interesting all the same. Thanks Peter for making this place exist, thanks to everyone else who knows their stuff for being present and thanks to everyone who just makes this place a great place to be part of.

And Happy Birthday RRF for whenever it is

Peter --- everyone owes you a great debt of gratitude for all your hard work and efforts to make this Forum what it is. It's all been said by the others.... this Forum is highly additive, many people have spent a fortune in chasing down dream Rics and we've learned wonderful things about fixing, repairing, maintaining and refinishing our Rics. And most of all, we have met some wonderful people and made some nice connections through this resource. Cheers on 7 years and as Neil Young says: "Long may you run"

Peter, this has been a favorite stop of my ever since before you had to register to post! Awesome site, and I have learned so much here! You are the greatest, but somebody referred to ribaldry here, I somehow missed the ribaldry, where is it? Was I sick that day, or offline? I always miss the ribaldry!!!!
