Ah.... yes! For some reason I had a feeling that the 1996 was only going to be around for a year anyway.... sort of a 2006 COY "special".

It strikes me as odd that under the RIC link posted by Kris, "Options and Colors" (presumably for ordering Ricks) that BBR and AFG are listed right along with the other 'standard' colors, even though RIC has stated that it won't take any more orders for guitars in either color.

On a positive note, I think that the Trans Red, Green and Blue options for the 4004Cii are all stunning. Any one of them could be a 'color of the year' the next time/year RIC does that. If you want to check out those colors on actual 4004s, there are some nice photos of them posted on the official RIC General forum under 'NAMM show.'
