I like Red with the white plastic and chrome hardware. Not a big fan of Red with black plastic and black hardware though.

I think a Red 4001V63 would be sweet!

Sorry for the un-readable post. It's funny how bad things look when you type them wrong. Should have read "...straggler IN desert gold" I still think I would faint dead away if one like that showed up.

Funny...I read your above post and never noticed the typo, Wes. I knew what you meant.

I'd like to see a straggler 4001V63 in 2002's COY (Burgundy) as well!

Thanks, Russell. I had to be sure, because some photos of Ruby can look as red as Red, and here's an example: This Ruby 4003 belongs to my drummer (?). I photographed it in my back yard on a bright cloudy day. You can see, that this doesn't look burgundyish at all. It's probably because of the scattered light hitting that silver undercoat, lighting up the transparent red overcoat. Pretty.

Wow! That does look like Red. Here's my '87 Ruby 4003S just for the heck of it!

Enjoy, Brian!
The most stunning bass or guitar I've seen in a while.
It just has that instant 'wow' factor (for me anyway). Unfortunately, now I want a V bass in MG and MID.
