I think that somehow the fat 80's horns aren't as obvious on an S:

But if I'm choosing between the fat horns on an 80's 4003, and the fat neck on a newer 4003, I prefer the 80's.

I had an '86 4003S, and don't remember the horn being fat, and that neck was "sweet" too!
