I just documented this one for the book. Local Milwaukee fellow has an '04 Turquois 4004L Laredo. Beautiful! This is the only Turquoise 4004 I've seen. Any others?

I'm starting a new thread called "Color of the Week" in the General Forum, and invite all you bass folks to contribute. Go see. Meanwhile:

I liked you better when you didn't like 4004s.

I wouldn't go that far, but I did get his first 4004 castoff! :D

Turq Laredo

Post by markbass99 »

Sometime in the Fall or later I'll have a white Laredo with walnut head wings. And the factory or refin issue?....well in my convoluted thinking process....Paul W. builds acoustic guitars for RIC(as a contractor?) so he's pretty close to being a RIC employee....so if he's applying the finish to my Laredo....(close enough for me)

There's a refin and then there's a refin.

I would be honored to own one of Paul W's pieces.

You guys and your obsession with mucking with a good thing. Jeeesh...

That turq is really nice. I would touch a thing on it!

I think you mean "I wouldn't touch a thing on it" and I agree. Unfortunately my Laredo is a blueboy that's turning green(so is Johnny B's) and I'm a huge fan of bright white ricks. Now, some people would say that the "green boys" could be valuable some day, like when they make mistakes on money or stamps, but by the time that happens I'll be taking a dirt nap.
