This one's got me confused. Body is made of maple, but it originally had a Kaufman Vibrola & bowtie bridge? Also, I had a v59 and it did not have those tuners.
Were the v59's being shipped with Kaufman's at the end of the run?
Or am I an idiot and this one is made of Alder? Certainly looks maple to me.
325 on eBay - which model?

Amazing what a hodgepodge this beauty became. The "late model" silver-topped knobs simply destroy the vintage vibe in this case...

John, this is 100% Alder. It looks like Maple, but has a slightly different coloration. Maple is more of a whiter shade, while Alder has a tanish color to it. They both have similar grain patterns when they are slab cut. The original 58/59 325 Capris had a 3 layer plywood back, while the re-issues have a 1 piece Alder back.
