Thanks everyone,

I'll get some more pictures posted tonight.

Howard & Shena, it was a lot of fun. Jdog even managed to give me me some theory lessons, and I really need that!

The ONLY bad thing is, I now have RAS REALLY bad. I've never played guitar before, and seeing Jason's collection kindled a fire in me now! I couldn't believe I played so many rare and beautiful guitars. I've always had an appreciation or RIC basses, but after holding and attempting to play such sweet guitars, I'm hooked!

As far as guitars go, the 12 strings are WAY, WAY out of my league, though I loved the sound. But the 380L was AMAZING! What a sound, what a feel, what a guitar! Add another RIC WANT to the list.

Now, I played some stunning basses, and that 4002 was amazing, the 4080 was a MONSTER but out of all those beautiful basses, I REALLY liked his 92 FL FG. It had a perfect neck, a great sound and the AMBER in it was BEAUTIFUL!

Now I see what a FG looks like in real life and it ages like a dream! Now I REALLY can't wait for my 4003FL AFG to arrive. And those black RIC strings! Oh man, they were FANTASTIC! Too bad you can't get them anymore....

It was like a RIC orgy. I've NEVER seen so many different RIC guitars and colors LIVE before. I can't imagine what the 75th was like, although Jdog gave my the complete rundown.

Now, I wonder what it would be like at MARF?

Ok, off to tend to a few things, I'll have some more pics posted late tonight.

Thanks again to Jdog, Peter for this fantastic forum. Without him, this never would have happened. And last but not least, RIC for making such ADDICTING guitars!

Jason is a true gentleman, everyone thought he was great! Jdog, you better watch out for Janey, she has a single sister your age......Remember what I said at dinner??? "Are you married or are you happy"....I got an elbow after you left for that one!Image

Man, all those guitars, can you really even call this a "mini" confluence? (Of course you can, because we all know that confluences are about the people, not the guitars...right? Image )

About the FL strings, they can still be gotten - they were actually made by Rotosound for RIC, and Rotosound still makes them today.

Tony, I hope to see you and Janey at MARF - feel free to play anything of mine!

Looks like a really great time. Tony, multiply that feeling about 5 or 6 times over and you get a glimpse of being at the 75th with all the great people that came! Deep sadness as we all had to leave to catch our planes.

Paul,

Geez, next time you have a mini mini mini mini mini confluence urge, c'mon over!

Here are a few more pics of the event....

Image

I'll have you know that this is the ONLY pic you will see of the FATMAN & Jdog! I tend to break camera lenses! Image As a matter of fact, this is my only pic I've posted of myself on the forum!

Hey Sheena, boy, you were WAY OFF, but thank you for the vote of confidence....I'm referring to that pic you sent me a while ago via our email conversations!

Jdog at the Lutheran Church....

More to come, I'm just having a heck of a time resizing the pics....I'll figure this out yet!

LOL....When I was a bit younger, and had more hair and it was dark brown instead of gray, I used to hear that A LOT!

"Tony, are you coming to MARF II?"

Jeff, I'm currently in negotiations with Sr. Management, I'll keep you posted.

John, "Man, all those guitars, can you really even call this a "mini" confluence? (Of course you can, because we all know that confluences are about the people, not the guitars...right?"

Very true. While the guitars were a blast, the conversation and interaction was priceless!

"About the FL strings, they can still be gotten - they were actually made by Rotosound for RIC, and Rotosound still makes them today."

Good news, thanks again! I REALLY liked those strings. Now, all I have to do is wait for my FL to be born!

"Tony, I hope to see you and Janey at MARF - feel free to play anything of mine!"

Thanks again John, that V68 & your 4005 are very tempting lure to make the trip north. Lots of details to discuss. How to travel, when and with the kids or not...We'll see, but I have a strong desire to try to pull it all off.

Thanks again, I'll keep you posted...

Sheena, put a few dozen pounds on that guy and lose the hair and I'm there! Image

Jason, the bird keeps saying, 4002, 4002 and she keeps asking for you! You know, I could arrange to have her shipped to you! Imagedamn bird!
