Anyone wanna start a betting pool to see who is closest? I bet the guy gets at least 3k for it.

Bartolini pickups ... ARGHHH!!!

I'd say more like $1200.00 USD ...

Why did he mess with the pickups? @#$%^&* ... If you want the damn sterile sound of humbuckers ... get a yamaha, or Ibenez, or Dean, or whatever ... there are lots of manufacturers making those generic basses with big ugly soapbar humbuckers ... the whole point of getting a Rickenbacker is to have that single coil growl .... well ok there is also the neck and the look ...

It will cost at least $200 to fix that bass ...

I'd also say he will get around $1200-$1400. He still has the original pickups and didn't modify the body, so putting it back right would take no time at all. I've seen 4003S/8s sell on ebay for $800-$900, and I sold mine for $1435.

then the buyer could take out the dreaded humbuckers and smash them to bits with a hammer ... or burn them ... ya ya fire fire ...

If I could afford another 8, I'd try a horseshoe in it. Save the humbuckers for something else.

Why not bring back the 4003s5 and 4003s8 while we're all waiting around for the 4004Cii5/8 to begin production?

Now that sounds like a good idea.
