Obviously. So why play all these code games?

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you, and sit in with the band whenever you can, to keep your chops up!

From my Deputy Sheriff codebook:

Code 10-56=intoxicated person. Hmmm...

In SF, it's ALWAYS 4:20 for a large proportion of the (fffffFFFFFFFF!!!) population.

On April 20, my school is empty.

Not shocked... I live around a ton of colleges, not to mention I'm 15 minutes South of Woodstock...

The culture MIGHT have rubbed off a bit. Image

So after contacting Cole he gave me Mark's email address, who sent me a couple of very nice and informative emails outlining his preferred processes for setting up and fine tuning Ric 12's for intonation and general playability. This goes back to a thread I started about replacing the nut with the wider style and adjusting the bridge placement. Thanks again, Mark. I am truly impressed by the openness and willingness to share information by all the members of this forum. Living in New England, I am not used to people being so downright friendly. That's not a shot at my fellow yanks, just a different mindset in these parts. I have some friends who are from S. Dakota who tell me all the time how different it is here vs. other areas of the country.

So why all the mumbo-jumbo?

Dan,

As a transplanted Midwesterner to New England (grew up in North Dakota, Iowa, Minnesota before coming to Mass when I was 14), I have always observed the differences you're talking about. I lived in MA then RI for years too, before moving out to Cape Cod. Finally, I feel that the folks out here are "Midwestern-Friendly" most of the time, which is nice. My wife is from MI so we are a pair of Midwesterners at Heart!
