Joey and I talked a little bit about SoCalCon '07 during the NAMM show. We will be checking with other locals to see who all want to be involved with the planning as well as financial participation, (naturally) but one will not depend on the other.

Dane, you're right, Gary did pay for the '05 SoCal confluence. He wouldn't take any money from anyone.
Gary and I did speak about this summer's SoCal confluence, we thought we would get together with the other SoCal guys and start the planning of it, maybe as soon as next month or April.

We will John. We'll try to get it planned out in plenty of time so anyone that wants to make travel plans can do so.
Maybe the SoCal forumites can gather for dinner some time in early spring so we can start planning.
I'm guessing that we'll do it that last weekend of August again.
