Brian that's a nice bass you just won but I think you already know there are going to differences in the levels between it and your 4004's. A two channel amp head could be a solution. I notice a big difference between my toaster equipped Cii and my hb'd Laredo and I'm going to try an hb in the bridge of the Cii to see if it gains any ground. If it doesn't I'm putting hb's all around as I've recently discovered a fantastic tonal synergy between the hb pups, my Markbass head, and DR strings. I'm getting close to ESL tone with that combo,(and the sansamp kinda helps too).

I'm more concerned about the actual tone qualities. I have an Ampeg SVP-Pro and I've recently stopped using the graphic EQ with my 4004's so I could always tweak it and switch it on when using the V63.....it also has a volume boost/cut so the volume level isn't much of an issue. It'll give me something to do and if it doesn't work out I'll make some decisions then.

I use my Kidney Bean Line-6 for switching between my V63 and Jazz Bass (though I play the V63 exclusively now). It's nice to have everything tweaked and stored right there.

DRATS, DRATS and DOUBLE DRATS!!!!!!!!!

****** DHL had a "routing issue" and the V63 won't be here until Monday. I'm less thrilled than I would be normally since the high on Sunday is supposed to be 4 degrees and I'm sure it will be left in the back of a truck all weekend. So I'll get it Monday and be able to open on Wednesday.

Brian, just put the box near a stove or fireplace. Should warm up quicker.

YIKES!!!! I hate the shipping part of our affliction.

I say we storm the truck, bust out the bass, tip the truck over and set it on fire.

Now that's a routing issue.

Okay! I'm alright, I'm alright.

Good luck Brian. Hopefully the truck is kept in a warm building.
I'm just happy to be here.
