Yeah, I'd like to see it, I think the one I played had only one pickup, this was probably thirty years ago or longer so I don't remember much about it except that I liked it. It seemed like a big bass to me at the time.

It's the one in the middle. If you can get used to the neck - narrow and deep - they are great basses.

This 4005 would also make a nice candidate for reissue, maybe when the C64 is done. It's nice to dream...

I just finished playing my 4005 (un amped, of course) when I saw this post. I hope that goes to a ric fan, not a dealer. They are sweet sweet guitars, with great necks. Sounds great plugged in, too! I was going to let my bass player use it on a gig we have tonight, but just changed my mind!
I once played an early '80's 4005, but it had an entirely different feel altogether (not as nice!). Definately reissue them, but to '60's specs!

Sweet 4003 S/5 in FG. Looks like Dr Who is going for it. And Instrument Exchange has a great deal for those of us who like to spend more than what the bass is actually worth!
