You're not conceited, because anyone that can truly make something that fabulous is not conceited in merely admitting what a great pickup they can make. Instead, they are simply stating the facts about their extraordinary abilities!!
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you, and sit in with the band whenever you can, to keep your chops up!

Hey Sergio,
The hi-gains that we discussed are on their way to you along with the few parts that you needed. I am looking forward to installing them on my 350 once you have converted them for me.
All the best,
Brian

Sergio, that is incredible, and soooo fast...! I thought you were starting on it today.
I will get a small sub thread going about the restoration of the 4000. It is in quite good shape really but there are a few things to sort out that may be of interest to others as they are very typical.
The first problem is that one of the wavey Grover covers of missing a pin, it has been knocked off at some stage and now the cover keeps falling off, not good! I thought that I might just stick the cover on with an epoxy resin and clamp it for a few days. If anyone has a better idea PLEASE let me know.
The rods need a bit of tweaking as there is a slight bow on the E side and flat or almost backbow on the G side. I'm sure that one is an easy fix.
As to the PUP. It has come with a Fender style, Tele I think, PUP. This is an odd choice as the pole is under the E string but way, way off on the G as the Fender spacing is a lot wider. I need to sort out the correct pot for the new PUP that Sergio has already made ( I still can't quite believe that ) Also Sergio there is no mounting plate for the PUP. so I will post a photo here to give you an idea of what might be needed.
All this said the bass looks and plays very well and I know will be an absolute stunner and keeper for sure. My band, Slipper, are taking a two month break and will be back together in early April. I don't think they will know what has hit them when they hear and see this new bass.
