If you look closely at photos from the period, you'll see no AC100s anywhere after 1965. (This does not mean they didn't exist, but with several other amps out and in use - not likely). Certainly we see Paul with the Bassman being used in 1965 (and AC100 Bass earlier that year). There is little known about 1966 sessions that is provable. He had the 7120 Bass head, and the Bassman is still around.
In 1966/67 Pepper and MMTour, we see them reject larger amps for smaller. Paul uses the 430 Bass setup and the 730 ("guitar amp") is definitely used for some of these aforementioned special bass overdubs. Note 2x12" cabinets for the Bassman and these... I think that's pretty significant - a sound he liked and is quite famous on the records. The 730 is even seen into 1968, so it's definitely something he liked.
Selmer people report them renting a bunch of gear; especially liking a bass amp and spinning Leslie that Selmer made. I've found no evidence to contradict this, and it does agree with some other rental things I've found, so maybe true...
