Since we're talking about 4004's....does anyone know what a fair price would be for the blue 4004 on the Bay right now?...Or where another one might be found?

Dane....did you see my post in the other thread where I said the reserve on that Laredo was $1600 last time it was up?

I know someone that is looking to sell a Midnight 4004L with the p/u's spaced away from the neck for a reasonable price. I'll email them so they can contact you.

I saw that post Brian. I've got a thing for midnight though, although the trans red or fireglo looks pretty sweet too. Ya, have your friend get in touch with me..pics too if possible and thanks!

I emailed him. He is a Forumite that offered it to me when I posted that I was looking for one......then the V63 popped up. I'd post his info but it isn't my place to do so. It looks very nice and as a bonus has a maple fretboard.

Brian, I just got off the phone with Ron S. and should have that 4004 MID on it's way to me by the end of the week. When you mentioned the maple board I wasn't too crazy about the idea, but when I saw the pics, I was sold. It really does look different for a RIC, and as everyone knows, I like DIFFERENT. I love this place! Thanks dude!

The maple board is wonderful. That is the best thing about my Ci.....I don't know what else it could be but it just feels effortless to play. All of Rics are setup the same but the Ci just stands out.

Congrats....I'm happy for both of you!

Ooh, never saw a MID with a maple fretboard, can't wait to see this one!

Dane, congrats, sounds like you're getting a very cool bass.

Ron, that Midnight is interesting; maple fretboard, but pickups in the lowered position. Can you tell me what year that was made? I've been under the impression that the change in fretboard material and pickup position happened concurrently, but . . . ?

This will probably be the least modified bass I have. Other than a change to concentric controls and stereo, I will change nothing.
