Yes, that's the one. If I weren't going stereo like the 4008CS, I'd just leave it as is. However, I have to separate the pickups for stereo, and that seems like the best way.

Nice bass Dane, that would make a sweet five string....(I know, I know)

I thought I was going to be able to stop at 3 4004's but now I see that I'm going to have to acquire a maple board sometime in the future.

Paul, the Laredo is from 2000 (serial # 00 19911).

Thanks, Ron. I'm thinking that 2000 was the transition year, and the beginning of the Cii. I'll have to post a question and ask the Forumites about the features on their's.
