Ashlee Simpson

Post by nattiep »

As some of you guys know I like to listen (yes, listen) to Ashlee Simpson. And yes, I know she doesn't play anything. But I read somewhere that Tom Petty wants to help her on her new album. Does that count as an artist? Image

Who is Ashlee Simpson? Is she somehow related to Bart?..

Hey, it wasn't her fault, it was her drummers fault for cueing up the wrong song!

I loved that whole SNL snafu, and when she sang(?) at a college football game and got booed mercilessly. Her incompetence always seemed to make me feel better about myself.

Long, long ago, Tom Petty lost a little credibility with me for releasing a record with Stevie Nicks. I mean, she was of the old guard I hoped TP and the likes were ushering to an early retirement.
Now this? I'm still a huge TP fan, but this is stranger than fiction.

Wasn't that because he was having an affair with her at that time? Hang on . . .

Despite the overplay, they did sound good together.

Settle down, now... Or I'll have to whip out "Islands in the Stream" maybe?
