Way to go Frank.. Welcome to the club.

It was kind of strange that I was at Chris's shop playing that bass unknowing that it was shipping out to you the next day.

Well Done Frank, good to see it arrived in pristine condition, it's a nervous time waiting for the man from Fed Ex isn't it!!!!

It's looks a real beauty - now all we need is to get someone out from the US, to have an excuse to all get together for a look and a bash!!! Image

looks good man. i've been wondering...does the jetglo have the sparkly look of a midnight blue Rick or is it straight black?

Hey Frank congrats on the bass. Maybe I'll get to see it in person when I am over in Oz visiting Howard and the gang in March.

Thanks everyone!

I'm loving it! Though the action is too high for me, Darren said he can fix that up for me no worries though.

I find it SO heavy when i'm playing standing up, it's a lot heavier then my yamaha, but the Rickenbacker strap does a good job though.

I still get excited every time I look around and see it sitting there, it's still sinking in that it's actually mine!

Dave: Haha! I was amazed that you got to play it, and i felt relieved when you said it was very good! Thanks for that!

Ron: I'm sure another jam is not too far away!

Brian: I hope so!

And here is me bedroom rocking!

You've got great taste!
A classic.
I got my first Rick when I was 20, & it was a LONG wait from age 14 when I first began lusting after a 4001.

Cool Pic, Frank. You rock!

"Jeff, I'm not sure who you look like more in that pic, Bruce Foxton or Scott Baio."

Yeah Dane (and Joey), I used to get the Scott Baio/Chachi thing a lot back then.

Then a few years later, I unknowingly became Andre Agassi:

These days, I'm more likely to be asked for an autograph when I'm near a racetrack:

Despite that grizzly appendage on the headstock of your Ruby S, you look like a happy Forumite!

Jim Morris - my JG is most definitely black - no hint of a sparkle in it. However, polished up is is quite mirror-like.

Congrat, Frank!

My first Rick was a 1986 FG 4003S. I wish I still had her. Luckily I have a couple now to ease the pain.

Sorry, "grizzled" is the proper word.
