Peter Minshull has provided us with a number of excellent posts this past while regarding Liverpool, Birkenhead and the Iron Door Club.
These fine posts have, of course, wetted my appetite for more. It seems that the music buff is never satisfied and I apologize if this has become a thorn in your side Peter.
I am wondering if you could comment on the music stores in Liverpool during the 1960s. Any review that would include insight into the products sold and the atmosphere would be most welcome.

Peter (Admin) – many thanks for your expressed appreciation however, unfortunately on this occasion I cannot be of any service. For other than knowing where such outlets were located and the type of services they offered, I have absolutely no idea what else was involved. For other than having eyes that saw, ears that listened, feet that danced and a voice that sang along to the lyrics – I frankly wouldn’t know me Rickenbacker from me Hofner.
Of course I love you!!!
Peter (Hamilton Square) - While I hear you loud and clear with regard to your knowledge of musical instruments, having read your posts there can be no doubt but that you are a careful observer with a great memory.
Should an additional prompting not be too bold, any impressions regarding the popularity or appearance of these shops, inside or out, would suffice. It is still leaps and bounds ahead of what I know of the day.
