Ampeg vibration
I recently purchased an Amped 115 HP combo(off Ebay) and at higher volumes when striking certain notes, I hear a definite buzz in the cabinet. Is something like this common and if not would it be serviceable? Any thought? Thanks.

This thread from a few days ago covered similar ground, Steve:

Good luck!
Also...you might want to go around your cabinet inside and out with a screwdriver and make sure everything is tight.

Play what you love, love what you play!
When you hit the resonant frequency of a room that note will be a LOT louder than all other notes and will also hang in the air, it is like being inside of a pipe organ pipe, takes a split second for the air to stop vibrating. I've had that happen to me a few times bit it isn't common. It will not happen in a basement unless you have a huge one.
If it is really pronounced, and it is happening because of the room's reflection characteristics, it sometimes helps to move your cab over a couple of feet and forward or backward a couple of feet, also turn it inward or outward ten or fifteen degrees, to see if it makes a noticeable difference. I have had just such a slight change do away with a resonant peak in a room. More often than not, though, it will not do a lot of good because the wavelength of bass notes is so long, and that slight a change will have no effect as the move is only a small fraction of the offending wavelength. The angling of the cabinet has greater effect usually than the translation of the source point obtained by moving the cab side to side.
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you, and sit in with the band whenever you can, to keep your chops up!
