Oh I think that's an awesome tune!

You have to give credit to Springfield for having the only hit song with the word "moot" in it. From "jessie's girl"... "you know I feel so dirty when they start talking cute, I wanna tell her that I love her but the point is probably moot"! That is brilliance!

Rick Springfield had a bunch of really good power pop tunes in the mid 80's. He could really play guitar well.

What other big pop hits from 1984/1985 have loud guitars? And catchy chorus's?

This was pretty much the last tune he had that I really liked.

As far as the 80's not being a good decade, I couldn't disagree more. REM, The Church, The Plimsouls, The Mighty Lemondrops, Lloyd Cole & The commotions, The Smiths... In fact a lot of good jangly guitar stuff, but also lots of other worthy things.

Every decade has lame stuff and good stuff really.
