Sgt pepper cover in the independant

anyone else see this today about who "was" on the sgt pepper cover in the independant . ie johns choices.

ghandi was included but apparently edited from the final image, where as hitler did make the final line up for the sleeve.

sir peter blake revealed that hitler was on but was obscured behind johhny weissmuller, "yes he is on there- you just cant see him"

Great story in the Hunter Davies biography about a Beatles jam session where they played "Tequila" but Lennon would insert a different word each time the song came around. One time he yelled "Hitler!" (Another time he yelled "*****!") Funny guy.

Yeah, I believe one of the reasons why Jesus was not included on the cover of Sgt. Pepper's was because of the heat from John's quote the year before.
