There's a good lesson here for all us guitar slingers (actually more than one). Philip for sure learns a segment at a time and works it til he gets it down and moves on. If we all would do that with our music it would be to our benefit. I had a musician with far more experience than I give me some advise for our band..take it one bar at a time play it til it's nailed move on...takes a lot of willpower but will make it tighter that any other method.

Wait a minute. What's this? Actually learn the songs?

****. I guess I gotta break it to the band.

Seriously, I'm with ya. Are you surfer dudes playing anytime soon? I'm sorta just around the corner. Okay, just around the corner from being just around the corner. Or possibly around one or two more corners, but that would put me where you are, and I don't that's the case. Perhaps I'm just confoozed.

I'd bet the left one that this young chap does not own an X Box or any other mind dimming game box.

If this were my son I'd be a happy man. His touch, sensitivity and taste bodes well for his journey through the teen years.

Thanks for the link Paul, great stuff!
I'm just happy to be here.

Good point about the gaming devices, Gary. Youngsters are losing their attention spans, thanks to these insidious devices.

BTW, anybody here try Guitar Hero? KILLER!

Paul, my son has become quite addicted to guitar hero. He has been learning guitar for the last few years (mostly favoring heavy punk metal type stuff) but he has taken to actually learning some of the lead work featured in the game on his real guitar (a Jay Turser SG knock off). Now if I could just get him to quit World of Warcraft I might actually get an actual conversation in. And to follow this thread, that young man has a bright future. Incredible.

Wait, I'm confused.
That kid wasn't playing that.
He was playing along with a record.
