A '69 4001 is the featured bass this month in Dave Pomeroy's column in Bass Player. I just got the issue and have not read the article yet but I will soon!

Well, I read the article and there are lots of errors, not unusual for Dave in this series.

I got to meet Dave in Nashville several years ago. He's a real approachable, friendly guy. I was wanting a big time road gig, and was pestering Pomeroy for help. He was very gracious and nice to me despite this. I'm sure he deals with this all the time. I haven't seen him since, but what he did do was warn me about all the a**holes in the Nashville music scene. He was right about that! I have a dear friend in Nashville named Dave Fowler, who's a monster player in his own right, who's friends with him.

I have read lots of great things about Dave. I am just surprised that he has a tendency to make silly errors in this series of articles.
