OK, I couldn't resist, could "C" mean "Canna"? Image

As in Scotty saying I "canna" fix the engines in time, Cap'n, to get us to Warp 9 before the Klingons are within firing range.

Bis is pronounced "bees". I guess Seabeescuit would be a horse running at the Tijuana Derby?

NOS is not specific for Rickenbacker.
John, sorry for being so slow: What is the meaning of the word "bis"? Is it french?

Maybe down Santa Ana way, but dictionaries show it to be a short i, and the Merriam-Webster on-line dictionary has an audio example:

Lars, the meaning is second (version), again, or repeat (especially in music)

well... a bis would be a saluting kiss on the cheek in France, from what I recall last time there. can't think of anything else...

I thought "bis" was German, meaning "to"...

It's Latin for "again", "encore". In the modern era, it's from the French and used to mean "second revision" in an engineering context. I wonder what the term for third revision might be.

I'm guessing that the old BMW Bavaria Cii might have been designated that way for the same reasons.
