A lot of sources have said that Paul was the least comfortable in front of the camera. He was very self-conscious and rather wooden when by himself. There was a solo scene done that was cut because of this. It's also been said that George was the most natural in front of the camera and was the best actor of the bunch.

I know about the fabs at the time that they said Ringo was the best actor, and he certainly acted the most both during the Beatles years and beyond.

I thought George had a good line.
Q: What do you call that haircut?
George: Arthur.

I am from the east; Stepney.

Oops, wrong film.

I know I'm in the minority, but I like Help better.

>>>I like Help better.

Yea, I think that is definitely the minority view. My son likes HELP better... maybe its a generational thing? No put-down intended.... maybe the 50+ crowd is more likely to prefer AHDN while the people who were a bit younger at the time like HELP better? After all, HELP is in color (or colour as they say across the pond) and is more campy/cartoonish with more of a defined story line. Just a thought.

Paul was a bit stiff when he delivered the line..If you lost him I'll cripple ya. The film has so many killer lines...weird comparison but like A Christmas Story, you can drop in at any point in the film and get right into the moment.

yup, good point. Some great films are like that and AHDN is certainly one.

Ever notice how spazzy John look when he runs? I've read that he was very uncoordinated sport-wise.

I was in a 7th grade "band" (we played at the school talent show) with a guy like that.... completely goofy and uncoordinated in sports but a GREAT musician and recording expert. He later became "Ebn" of "Ebn-Onz" (70's synthpop duo) who had a minor hit in the 70s called AEIOU AND SOMETIMES Y.

Glenn, not necessarily--I'm a huge Help! fan too--it's the one I tend to throw in the player when I'm a Beatles mood.

George: They're talking about your finger ya know... One card, dealer takes one.
John:See, that didn't hurt you at all, did it?
Paul: Will you just hold this drumstick for us?
George: There's a good drummer in Manchester.
Ringo: Well, I don't just drum with it, do I?
John: Well, what else then?
Ringo: Well, I use it, you know.
George: Quite a good looking fellow too... I'll raise you.
John: You haven't used that finger in the past hour. We're in danger as well you know. Me and Paul haven't seen you make any use of that finger, have we Paul?
Paul: No.
George: And again.
John: No doubt about it, we're risking our lives to preserve a useless member.
George: Right.
