Rickenbacker 3000/3001 Bass WANTED, please?

Post by olegunnar32 »

Hi all, I am looking to purchase a Rick 3000 or 3001 Bass and was wondering if any of you good fellows would have one to sell or would know anybody who is selling one? Preferably unmodified but anything considered. Thanks

Welcome, Ole. I have a 2060 for sale, the ultimate extension of the 3001 bass. The 3000 is a short scale, the 3001 long scale. The 2000 series basses took over when the 3001 was discontinued. The unbound 2030 and double bound 2050 came first, then they were superceded by the 2020 and 2060 with updated electronics and controls. My 2060 is Fireglo with minor surface wear (nothing through the finish). I'm asking $1000 plus shipping.

Ole - I had the model 3000 on an Ebay search/email notification list for a couple of months before one appeared. But since one sold a week ago, expect a few more to appear. The sale of one always seems to draw others. (Look at the Blackstar listings recently!)

Derek, thanks for the advice. I think you are right, it does appear so with the 3001's. I did see the black 3000 last week but it had been butchered a little too much for my liking so decided against it, but I'm hoping another will come up.
Thanks

A lovely one, indeed!
Was the pup a Rick product or from an outside vendor? Single coil or Humbucker?
Thanks!
