Aitch, the only time I've played a wider-necked Ric before today was at the 75th, when I tried Jerry Juden's 660-12. I liked the extra room on the 12-string, but the six-string seems really roomy to me....will take some getting used to, I'm sure. But WOW, the sound! Something about those toasters on the solid-body....the tone is absolutely amazing. In the bridge position I get the perfect jangle, and in the neck position I get a wonderfully sweet melancholy tone that sounds different from any of my other Rics....
And the looks are absolutely killer--the checkered binding with the DCM is the cat's meow!
I think it's a keeper.

"Once I've held and played the best, baby, I won't settle for less!"
Well I opened her up and she is a beauty. The binding really punches up the DCM finish. I like the wider neck. I haven't plugged her in yet because it was delivered to my office, but I'll give her a good run through tonight. Jeff, you're right she is the best looking of the lot, although I haven't received the 4003 yet.

Thanks Howard. I will take some photo's over the next few days. It is snowy and rainy here so it isn't the best light for pictures.

I've been tracking the shipment of my 660 from New Jersey, to Philadelphia, to Louisville, to Honolulu and then to Melbourne.
The UPS man just attempted delivery but no-one was home
.
At least it now provides me with the perfect excuse to "work from home" tomorrow!
