Sorry to beat a dead horse, but I got a good look at the flame on the back of the neck. WOW!!! I no longer see a refinish in its future. The Hipshot X-tender, or maybe a fifth string (I'm hoping the X-tender does it for me), concentric vols, but nothing else! I do have that octave thingy on that BP-200, but haven't run it through any paces. Tomorrow is a full day, but my hours changed again, so I will have a bit more play time in the mornings this week.

John Hall, I am a very happy man!

Too bad I didn't know you were going to order the Hipshot D-tuner....I have a "like-new" gold one listed in the "For Sale" section.

As I've said a bazillion times I think if there were more 4004's out there for people to see and try they'd give the 4003's a run for their money in sales. Just wonderful basses.

Another 4004 convert here repeats Brian and Andy's convictions! Image

Man, that IS nice, and I'm not really a Monte fan (you guys are bad influences).
Plus five minus five!

Chris scored a certain Forumite's 4004Ci recently......and, unfortunately, he seems to like it and doesn't want his money back.

For those thinking about converting (or coming over to the dark side, as we call it) I noticed Mike Parks is showing two 4004's incoming....
and he also has a Lemmy....

Brian speaks the truth. The more I play this beauty, the more I love it.

Way to go Chris - welcome to the Ci club! Yours makes me realize its time to find some tung oil.

Brian, another will eventually come up here; time, my friend. And no, not mine!
